Chiavari Chair Wedding Decor in Chicago

So what are these chairs we’ve been seeing in the Dancing with the Stars judging booth, celebrity wedding photos, White House dining rooms and bridal magazines? It’s the Chiavari (Chiavarina) Chair, made famous by a cabinet maker in northwest Italy in 1807. The designer/artist/craftsman was Giuseppe Gaetano Descalzi and the world has made thousands upon thousands of replicas of this stylish, sturdy, elegant wood chair ever since. Our chairs (shown below) are most often rented for elite banquet events and they’re a modern adaptation of the original chair, which had a woven willow tree seat, as opposed to the cushion type shown. The decoration is simplistic, and timeless.

Our rental chairs come in gold or silver, in a standard dinner table height or a taller bar, highboy table size. Cushions are available in black, white or ivory. The chairs are often embellished with satin sashes, bows or ribbons to match a color theme of event decor and give the room a pop of color. Add the ooh la la WOW factor to your next Chicago or Chicago suburbs function and grace the room with lovely elegance and fine tradition. They are a wedding must-have for bride & groom. Contact us for an estimate if your venue doesn’t provide them.

Cheers to the Chiavari!
